Helo All! Reviving my RC10GT
Hi to all,
Just joint to see if I can get a hand in reviving my old RC10GT. Last it run (over 10 years ago) a tiny rock loged itself in the gears and broke the engine rod. It was in a box for a long time. Now I have the truck, but misplaced the broken engine along with everyting that was on it: clatch, pull start, carb, exhost and all. Any idea? Is it even possible to get those parts any more? hate to throw away the rest as it is in pefrect working order and can be a lot of fun for my (adult) boys. Any help be very appreciated!

Ebay is your best bet to find replacement parts as most are discontinued and no longer in stock at any hobby store. Any .12-.18 side exhaust, standard crankshaft, rotary carb will be the easiest route. If you can find a Traxxas TRX .15 with the trimmed crank already that’s the easiest. Good reliable engines too. Traxxas also makes a decent (blue) side exhaust manifold and muffler combo easily found on eBay for a decent price. Lastly is the clutch which may take a short while to find but not that hard at all.
Edit: couple screenshots of an easy to find and reliable engine, muffler setup

As Romulus22 mentioned the Traxxas TRX .15 is a perfect drop in for the GT...or in my case a DS. Everything attaches easily.
Some may think a traxxas in an associated car is blasphemy....If you wish to use something different you can also search ebay for "Thunder Tiger EVO-12X High Performance Model Car Engine 9465", currently they go for about $82 bucks.
its a .12 engine and comes with a short crank ready for a GT or DS (glow plug not included). At one point in the past associated offered their kits with either a Yokomo, OS, Dynamite or Thunder Tiger engines.

Great, Thank you! I found the engine and the exhaust. I like the Traxxas .15. Appears comes compolete, but, no drive gear. Also I am also missing the battery pack that was in the back. Any ideas? Drive gear I mean the little gear at the end of the engine crank.

Everything is available on Ebay if you search...the battery pack in the rear of the truck is the receiver pack for the radio receiver.Yossi wrote: ↑Sat Jan 23, 2021 8:44 am Great, Thank you! Search "NHX Muscle Pack 1600MAH 6V NIMH RX Receiver Hump Battery W/ Charger Combo". This is the receiver battery pack and charger, assuming you don't have the charger. if you do then search "6v receiver battery pack" . i find hump packs the best fit.
For the clutch bell gear search "Associated Rc10GT Clutch Bell". You can chose the number of teeth depending on your setup. anywhere between 15t for torque and 17t for speed. Avoid the 22 or 24 as those are designated for smaller wheels like on a DS.
if you dont have a flywheel, search "associated rc10gt flywheel"
You'll also need a brass collet for the flywheel, search "Team Associated 89138 Flywheel Collet"
Finally you'll need a clutch nut, search "Associated RC10 GT Clutch Nut"
These items shall get you on your way to running your GT
