It it really hard to get my dad presents for christmas. So when he pointed something out it was really exciting. Except it was a redcat rampage XB and is $500 or more (I won money on the casino after reading online casino reviews on the https://casinosranker.com/reviews/ and want to buy a good RC). Is there something like it or an RC car he would be just as excited about that would be half the price?

Well, my wife just bought me a Kyosho 2014 Beetle and a Tamiya Comical Grasshopper for Christmas. Both are kits but I have plenty of radio equipment and electronics.

I cant think of any 1/5 scale gas rigs for less than that. Redcat is not known for their quality either. Id talk him down into a more popular scale where the speeds are higher and costs are cheaper. You are speeding 3x that to get a decent quality 1/5 scale rig

I don't know if you have lipos or not, but I've heard good things about the 3s Arrma series like the Typhon. 1/8 buggy...just a thought.

I'd definitely recommend Arrma 3S BLX products. I've had a Granite that has been beaten up by the family for almost a year now, even taken to the track and smashed around there, recently it was run over by my neighbors pickup, which only bent the front body mount and unplugged the motor.

Granted the body is beat up and the rear shocks have leaked all their oil out, but it still runs fine. Only thing that has broken is one side the front bumper "spring" (2 for $6) after my wife drove it straight into a tree.

We have only run it on 2S, I'm sure at 3S you could cause more damage to it.

We also have a Typhon.
