A project geared towards dreams of racing... It will be almost all black parts (aside from shock towers and front a-arm mounts). nothing will be dyed. Andy's arms in the rear, RPM arms in the front (more shock mounting holes than Andy's). im not sure about the noseplate, leave it gold? The motor plate could be gold or black? Im trying to put an rc10t2 steering set up on it (from my tortured t2 post)? has anyone tried this?

**I have some B4 cvd axles, (its actually a creszenzi (sp?) rear widening kit for a gt/t2, it came with big conical washers too. is this on the right track to run b4 wheels?

Donor tranny gears. this 'A' chassis is drilled for stealth. but its in too bad of shape for this...blk tranny case

switched out the white tranny case, rear A-arm mounts, steering knuckles/blocks for black.



rear hub carriers are black but i couldnt find my hingepin bag i misplaced it.



so what do you guys think?
the scoop:
> still need to disassemble/clean everything, this was just a mock up.
> the front shock tower needs the update to the 6 hole type (i do have one)

Any help appreciated, i still need to figure out my rear axles for the modern wheels. i have b4 axles im not sure if thats what i need? in the meantime im about to do a search on the forum! so please dont flame i am looking for myself too, but if someone could chime in i would really appreciate it! thanks!

I will post a link later (i'm at work right now...SHHHHH)

but use the HPI rear hex adaptor and CRT.5 wheels in the rear, fits like a glove, right width, and 2.2 for modern tires...OH, and CRT wheels are 12.50 for a set of 4.

JK that sounds great! thanks man. An update for you guys i got the turnbuckles on and this t2 servo saver works liek a dream. excellent fit and looks very durable. i have the servo saver set soft and its so plushy but i can tighten it down too. i just like moving it with my index finger to compress the spring haha but it looks very promising. i put some oil on the servo saver it compresses the spring soo smooth its great. i have some TQ-21's in the rear and TQ-71's up front right now but want to go modern!

some updates, i put some stock size wheels on for now. looks killer! this is actually my first rc10 buggy seen in person with wheels on, and i built it! so cool!

By teh way, i really really like the t2 servo saver on this buggy, i would reccomend it to those needing a replacement. it fit right on with a one piece drag link and everythign like a direct swap

Hey Gamma what size shocks are those? It looks like the rear are shorter then the standard rear and the front are longer like the B3.
the car looks like a very good rider.

m_vice, truck fronts in the rear, new style buggy fronts in front.. b3/b4 sounds right...

after seeing JK Racing's car i kind of want to go with those shock towers, looks very cool and more modernized! very nice..

I am running the RPM "worlds" front end and shock tower (truck bulkhead, wider arms), I am using truck front (bodies) with buggy front (shafts), so kinda a hybrid shock - purpose built.

On the rear, Truck rear shock tower, Truck rear shocks.

i'm liking the mix of gold and black you got going on.

another night of binge building... (changed shock towers, shocks, noseplate, front bulkhead)

I couldnt fit my RPM "team spec" arms on my truck bulkhead. So the front bulkhead was trimmed down in a couple spots. i used wide front axles to make up the width.



nose plate:
i lost a lot of width switching to a truck noseplate, so i added the wider truck front axles. this gained back some of the lost width, but i still lost about 1/4 inch or more of front width

modded truck bulkhead:
>I chopped hingepin width flush to the shocktower mounts, then sanded them until the arms can slip on.
>the plastic surrounding the hingepin was sanded (too fat) until the holes lined up for the hinge pins.
>the sides of the bulkhead needed to be dimpled to allow the arms to have upward swing.







front suspension:
i used a front shock tower similar to JK Racing's buggy...
i took JK Racing's advice and used truck front shocks with buggy shafts, they fit nice!

here you can see the wide axles, they almost made up the lost width but not quite.


rear suspension:
i used a Rear truck tower similar to JK Racing's buggy,
i took JK Racing's advice and used truck rear shocks.

t2 servo saver


pics with wheels on, and comparing the difference in front width (i traced it on paper) coming soon!!

You could get a few more mm width on each side by using B4 steering block carriers and drilling the holes out to 1/8". Keep in mind the B4 has 25 degrees kick up so if you get 20 degree B4 blocks you end up with 25 degrees caster.
