Hi all, been a while since i last posted here... no pandemic back then! Im sure many of you are enjoying new builds or restoring cars that where long forgotten some where :)
Got a hold of an incomplete but unused Kyosho FF CRX, nice little car indeed! Have been able to source most parts that where missing (1 rear axle, pinion, a few screws and bumper; bodies can still be found luckily!). The one things Im missing is SHOCKS, they are of 50-52 mm length, and nowhere to be found, so thinking of alternatives. Ive seen many 50mm shocks, but they are to big in diameter (these ones are small shock bodies, kind of similar to Tamiya rear ones for Sand Scorcher, Champ buggies, but the shock body is over 2 inches (3cm) long, the Kyoshos should be around 2cm length.
So was wondering if any of you have ideas of short/slim shocks I could use, have been looking heavily in aliexpress but no luck... :(
Thanks to all and take care /stay home /stay SAFE ;)

The original shocks are really absolute crap. You have to free them before every run. They just get stuck somehow

Pictured is a front shock from a Kyosho Scorpion (not the re-release)
The shock body is app. 10mm shorter than the SRB one and slimmer - 8mm app. on the outside. (I see Phin´s one eyebrow is lifting  )

Hi Mr. Ed and Dennis; thank you for your replies!
I have some Marui Galaxy shocks, kind of similar than those of the Kyosho! Seems they are almost same length too (3 cm approx.); picture below shows manual of the FF with the shocks (roughly to scale) and the Marui shocks and some Aliexpress shocks I bought, on both I've installed the original damper end (which I have, along with the conical small springs of the FF) and they are too long... was thinking about maybe cutting 1 cm from the Marui shock bodies and make a new internal thread (at a machinist... do'nt have tools for that...), or.... make some shock towers out of fiberglass/carbon fibre that I can bolt on the plastic parts of the FF to use larger shocks?
