I recently purchased an RC10 Goldpan roller which was in bad condition and only partially built. Most of the parts and bolts etc came in a zip lock bag but there wasn't a build manual. I've downloaded some instructions but I'm struggling to follow them. I do suffer from learning difficulties so I apologise if my questions appear simplistic.

I've attached some images and was hoping I could get clarification on the Clutch Torque Control Assembly. The manual instructs to install a bushing into the clutch hub. I have been through all the parts but can't find a bushing, there is however a bearing that fits into the hub (picture attached) so can I use that as a replacement?

I'm also confused by the Thrust Washers. There seems to be quite a few different washers in the bag and I'm not sure if they're all part of the original kit or just some random stuff thrown in over the years. Is it possible to tell from the pictures if I have the correct washers? And does the Thrust Bearing have to be installed in a particular direction as it has two different sides?

Lastly, the Drive Gear was in the bag with a nut attached to the end, although it was only finger tight. On closer inspection there doesn't seem any conceivable way that the nut will pass over the first thread or two and there are no other larger diameter nuts in the bag. Is it something I need to force or is it the wrong nut?

The flange bearing is wrong. The first release of the slipper included a bearing which later switched to a bushing. You can use either. But not the flanged one. You need an unflanged bearing.

The best way to verify the thrust washers is to try and file the edge. They will be too hard to file. Usually the thrust washers can be flipped either way.

The diff nut is a 5-40 thread. It's usually gold colored and often mixed up with a 4-40 nut.

Thank you jwscab, I sincerely appreciate the information. May I just ask for some clarification on the Thrust Bearing, that it can be placed in any direction?

With regard to the diff nut, is there a UK replacement/equivalent to the 5/40?

I've also attached an image of some parts found in the bag which I presume to steering linkages? There is nothing in the manual to identify these as parts of the original kit so are they upgrades and do they just bolt down to the chassis or should there be other bits like washers etc to make them functional?

I apologise for all the questions. I'm just really confused by it all and seem to be well out of my depth with this build.

Unfortunately, no there is no metric equivalent for a 5-40 thread. You could use a plastic nut though, which would form its own threads .

Yeas the thrust bearing race with the balls in it can go either way, as can the washers.

Was the Classic re-release machined to the same specifications as the original? I've found a bolt set for the Classic and was wondering if they would fit?
