Ok, so its still in the post to me so i dont quite have my first rc10 yet!

Ive wanted one since they were released but usual story of too expensive for my parents. Had plenty of rc since but always seemed to gravitate to tamiya but always had that need for a rc10.
No idea why its took me so long to get one, but they dont come up often in the uk and the right opportunity never came up.
But ive finaly got one (early Cadillac i think). Ill start a resto thread when it gets here as its a bit of a wreck!
No stranger to restoring RC cars, but im sure stepping out of my tamiya comfort zone is going to throw up a few questions!
Currently spending my free time reading as much as possible about these cars.

I love restoring rc cars as much as driving them. I didnt want a mint original, didnt really want a rere (although i nearly bought one when released, but didn't have any spare money at the time).
Mine may be rough and have missing parts, it will no doubt have some broken parts too, but ill enjoy the rebuild and i can build something i can put round the track without feeling too guilty!

Finding the parts and restoring it yourself is very satisfying. It's the journey, not just the destination.

Indeed. I just restored a tamiya 58008 lp590s countach. Finding parts is half the fun! Then cleaning, restoring, sometimes modifying. All as much fun as driving them after

I restore a lot of Tamiyas. I'm trying to find an RC10 buggy or truck. Have fun!
