Hi all, So I pulled out my vintage 6010 model I build when I was a kid and passed it down to my 12 yo son. We went bashing for a bit and ended up losing one of the dogbones #6370 and the spring #6372 as one the the buckles came undone. I've been scouring the interwebs looking for a replacement of each and am not having much luck. Do any of you guru's have some suggestions on 1)either a replacement spot to buy or 2) substitute parts (CVD kit) that I can swap it to? I appreciate the help.

You might want to return to the spot where the car stopped with a metal detector and see if you can find the bone. Parts for these cars are becoming scarce and buying just a single replacement dog bone or even the 1/4" axle CVA set could be rather difficult (I haven't been able to find them).
That said, at the moment there are at least four complete rear suspension sets (minus shocks) on ebay for 20 bucks each plus shipping. You'll get both dog bones, axles, arms, hinge pins, arm mounts, uprights, camber links with ball studs. If you could find just the bone, it would probably be 10 bucks or more. Hope this helps.

Doug, thanks for the advice. Went the ebay route which seemed like the most optimal. I'm guessing for the spring I can pull one from a pen and cut it down if needed?

You're most welcome.
Re-purposing a ball-point pen spring might work or if you get a used suspension sets, it might include a set of springs. I've found that, if the car has been stored in a damp environment, the springs and axles can rust and the spring can become stuck in the axle and doesn't simply drop out when they are disassembled.
Anyway, I hope everything works out for you and your son. Post some photos of your car if you can.

I have used 02003 HSP dogbones as replacement. The length is just about right, and they are much easier to find.

Well, how about that! You're right.
The 02003 is slightly shorter pin to pin than 6370 (55mm vs 57.25mm) and the pins are slightly smaller (2mm vs 2.38mm ) but it's certainly close enough. The ball diameter is about spot on.

Also, they sell a 08061 that's 3mm longer than 02003.

And they're cheap as chips on ebay. That's awesome! Thank you for posting this info, I've learned something useful today. :D
