Where to get ball ends, tie rods, and cups (ends) for A stamp?

All, I have an a stamp rc10 that I am trying to restore to make a runner. It needs new tie rods, cups, and the ball ends. Where can I get this stuff? The car is going to be a runner so the parts don't need to be original production. I even thought about doing turnbuckles but those seem even more difficult to find. Thanks for any help!

Hi there :)

re-re Ballcups #6279 have been discontinued but you can still find some laying around, just not at the big online shops anymore indeed: https://www.amainhobbies.com/team-associated-rc10-white-ball-cup-14-asc6279/p264356

ballstuds are becoming scarce too, hence expensive but the schumachers are an almost like-for-like replacement even though they are in M3 rather than 4-40 (m3 is actually better, more grab if you ask me...) - more info here https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=44023&p=500421&hilit=ballstud#p500421

Turnbuckles: you can use threaded rod that you cut yourself, or buy single turnbuckles that fit every place in the car - many brands do them. If you want to remain all american, try https://lunsfordracing.com/collections/turnbuckles/rc10 (not sure this is for the classic or the team car with longer front arms, talk to them)

Show us pics next :)

RPM ballcups are still out there. You can get the other stuff from Facebook groups such as RC10 Vintage Chop Shop, RC10 Vintage Treasure Chest, etc.

Guys thanks for the info.my car is a short arm car. I had hoped to get everything from one place bt that doesn't seem like it is possible. Will the m3 threaded ball ends screw properly into the rc10 plastic parts? I see they come in different lengths - does anyone know which size/length I will need?

On a side note - parts are not easy to get now. I can't imagine what the situation will be like 5 years from now.

I really appreciate the help!

have you downloaded an RC10 instruction manual? It will list the size of the parts, including turnbuckles and ballstuds so you know which to order ;)

Well, it'll still be easier than 5 years ago

Actually no I haven't downloaded the manual. Do you have a link for that?

It must I've been really tough to find parts 5+ years ago!

On the left side is a drop down to select discontinued models. Select the appropriate one and the following page will have a tab on the left for manuals. Download whatever you need.
