Tamiya Hilux Monster Racer
I just about finished this truck. I built it from a partially assembled but never competed or run chassis. I had to find the body, decals, sway bar, misc hardware, and linkage.
The body took many hours to complete. The paint is straight forward, but still difficult to get just right. Because some of the decals follow over paint lines, it is very important to get everything placed just right. The decals are OG, and are very thin and brittle.
The end result looks very nice in person. The colors really shine. I added the blue color on the back of the body in place of the box art red. It is a great looking truck.
I have wanted one of these trucks for a long time. I think they are one of the best looking trucks Tamiya ever produced. I hate to do it but I will likely put this truck up for sale soon.

Looks great, is that the same body as on the Prerunner? Nice attention to detail.

Please dispose of whatever drugs or alcohol you were consuming at the time you wrote this.

I have four of these trucks myself (well, I guess one of them technically started life as a King Cab). I completely agree that they are one of the best looking trucks Tamiya produced.
Something clever goes here...

^ LOL! Thanks guys. Unfortunately, I just put it on fleabay. I really hate to do it but it had to be done. Life got in the way on this one. I can only hope it goes to a good home.

Very nice build, and the blue just tops it off. Great work mate!
