Back in 1991 when Team Associated was looking to build a double decker rc10 for the 91 worlds in Detroit. JG came up with this prototype chassis. is their anyone on here with any info on this chassis as to how many were made, or if theirs any pics of the chassis fully built???

Well been doing some digging on FB and found out that John had passed many years ago. Even though he does have a son I am doubtful he would know any history on this car. RIP John Gudvangen.

Wow, I did not know that. Makes things like this all the more special.

Well this is my first project in a very long time. i got lucky to win this chassis, since i missed this chassis when it came up for sale over a year ago. iam going to build it as a NIX carfor the most part. so far i got a good start just waiting on the parts from shapeways. iam going to keep the original frt bulkhead, but iam going to add the NIX frt bulkhead to this chassis. notice theirs no way to put on the battery strap??? hum.. lol

well i wanted to use the nix frt bulkhead, BUT when i got it i forgot how narrow it is compaired to this chassis lol. so i had to mill it way down and mount it with 2 screws from under the rc10t bulkhead, i think it came out great!. still waiting on some more parts.

i want to say this may not be jg, but another chassis but can't for the life of me remember the exact name of it. geely? gighli? something wacky like that. it looked like the composite craft chassis with the flipped from bulkhead. there were photos on this board but it's always hard to find because the name i can't remember.

looks pretty cool, it looks like you didn't cut the chassis right? I wouldn't cut it up more than it already is to preserve the history, but that's just me.

EDIT**** found it. GISI

looks different enough, but the same idea.....

O no I didn’t and will not be cutting up anything. This chassis was sold over a year ago from the golden years museum with a bunch of other rare prototype jg parts. So this is as far as I know the only jg worlds chassis.

Ok that makes sense. I've talked to Romulus before he did in fact buy out a bunch of jg stock so the story lines up.

the only thing that was done, was that the last owner did add that frt body mount to the aluminum frt support.

well it s all done came out pretty much how i wanted it too except for the rear arms. i used a set of rc10t tekin chassis rear arms ( just cause thats what i had and i think they look pretty cool) cause the nix91 rear arms made the rear of the car too narrow, since the frt of the car is on the wide side due to the 10t frt bulkhead.

Man that looks badass, the fronts arms are installed that way for a reason? they seem to be backwards is it to extend the wheelbase or am I off base here.
