I ordered everything needed to use the HPI wheels on my DS. While waiting for the parts to arrive, I would like to know what millimeter offset I should use.

I have found that the best offset is 0 in the front and 3mm or 6mm in the rear if im using a 200mm HPI body.
You can go wider in the rear if you run the 200mm front/210mm rear HPI bodies like the barracuda, challlenger and 68 camaro. I have a 6mm offset wheel with a wide hex to get the tire close to the body on the pink barracuda.
If running a 190mm then 0 on both ends. I have 0 offset on the DS lamborghini.

So there is no clearance issues in regard to the wheels rubbing the suspension?

Sometimes you have a clearance issue.
On my lamborghini DS i used 0 offset Associated NTC3 12mm hex wheels and they spin freely when fully turned without rubbing suspension arms.
At the same time i have my DS Camaro with HPI 0 offset vintage wheels and those tend rub when fully turned. I remedied this by setting the endpoints of the steering servo to before the wheel rubs.
My Porsche DS has Tamiya 0 offset wheels and as with the Camaro they tend to rub when fully turned. I also adjusted the steering servo endpoints to eliminate the rub.
It will depend on the typ of wheels you are using.
If you use 3mm offset for the fronts you may cure the suspension arm rub issue but end up with the tire rubbing on the body issue.

Excellent. That points me in the right direction, thanks.
