To build or sell... that is the question.

Ok guys and gals. I’ve been an avid RC’er for a long time. My first gold pan RC 10 was bout back in 88. Still have it! I have recently acquired an original Kyosho Ultima and an Optima Mid Custom Special. Both are in original packaging with all the parts. These are two cars along with my collection of RC 10’s and and other cars that I’ve wanted for a long time. So.. should I sell or build?? I know the cars would fetch a decent price with their collector status. I know I could build them to look exactly like the box. I guess I’m torn between build or sell. Thoughts opinions are welcome!

If you wanted them, why would you sell them? :?

Well, I never run any of my cars anymore. The ones I have are shelf queens. I have 2 gold pan RC 10’s one is original and the other a reproduction. And another championship reproduction that are all built. I do have a championship rc10 that is still unopened. I actually bought it to make a runner, but as I said. I don’t run any of them anymore. So that’s why I considered selling the kyoshos.

If you wanted them build them and put them on the shelf. Easy.

That's an odd question. Usually the question that gets asked over and over is "Should I keep it in the box or build it?" You just bought those NIB cars and now you want to either sell or build. Why did you buy them? That's not a smart-ass question, just ask yourself what your motivation was for the purchase and you'll have your answer. Do you want the money or the enjoyment of building vintage iconic RC cars?

This is a smart way to shunt the FS board admission rules - happens a bit early in this member's posting carreer, no presentation, no participation before this post... I think the mods are becoming a bit soft around the edges

Assuming no bad intentions: BUILD THEM. Or sell them to me, but beware, I'm cheap. We all are around here. And some of use will lure you into telling us your name and/or address, then we'll come in the middle of the night to get into your house and steal your treasures... you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into, buddy... :!:

Ok guys. Seriously not trying to skirt posting rules or anything like that. I bought them out of nostalgia for the cars. Grew up wanting them and am probably gonna build them box art and shelf them.
