Salut Jerome

the MRC Pro-Racing was pretty much only known in France, maybe a bit in western europe... you will have much more luck in getting info on VRC, frankly.

Reading about the body, it's a 225mm wide one, compared vs. the 235mm of the pan cars of the 90's and the AC Cobra body on the MRC pro-racing. In theory, the wheels would stick out a bit, but it might still be worth a shot!

A+
Paul

 rear pod link device ( but "inline" ) , probably to be used on bumpy tracks...
curious to know how it handle .

beautiful build !!

and I'm not really in love with MRC cars, so it's a real compliment

That looks stunning , I'm not a pan car guy so again unusual for me to like one so much . One question about the rear pod , does it have a panard rod to stop left to right movement , I can't see one in the pictures so I was curious how it was located , the four links alone would allow left to right movement surely ?

Absolutely love it!

I think it's the damper's spring that forces it straight...

must have been a nightmare to setup straight back then

The MRC car is more or less a copy of the PB Sizzler 1/10 car. The overall design is the same where the PB car uses the front end design and some parts from the Demon MF1 1/12 scale car https://classicrc.wordpress.com/1-12/demon-products/demon-mf-1/

Both cars are very rare today where the PB car was seen at Pro10 races in the UK and Germany, maybe others too. I think the MRC car was used more by hobby drivers, also it was cheaper than the PB car and maybe not really seen at races.
I still have two of the Sizzler cars waiting for restore but I can´t find the time ...

The PB Sizzler used a Panhard rod where there were two versions dependend on age of the car. It seems the MRC didn´t use a Panhard at least I can´t see one.
Another difference was the rear pod were the PB car used machined pod plates, the MRC car came with stamped aluminium plates what can be seen at the photos also.

HI All !!!

I took the time to assemble the new chassis tonight, it fits almost exactly in place of the original one, but there's really nothing to complain about.

When reassembling, I took the opportunity to put washers in some places to make it more consistent with the rest and I changed the screw on the shock absorber to make it look nicer.

I also installed aluminum front car mounts from an unknown Pan car chassis.
