well since my black and gold buggy project is winding down , and I just finished sorting my latest haul
think its time to tackle the rc10 t form this lot
https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&p=493149#p493149

I already have a nice all white part 10t shelf queen with a rpm trans so this guy is going to be a runner
here is how she sits right now
excpt for being dirty and having flat spots in the rear tires (oh and the missing shock )
I can probally just add electronics and go

dug into my bins and found a few parts to get the rebuild under way
not a bad start for parts in the bin lol

they work for 10t gt gt2 and t2

rear shock is a gt tower just takes 2 new holes drilled in it and to cut it a tad shorter (ive used them before on 10t builds)

well change of plan any way
dug deper into my parts bins and found enough black arms and other parts to build the truck without having to dye any of the white parts
so just going to use these

well coming along nice
went to home depot to buy some bed liner spray and they had it in a light blue (sweet ) , ive used it before on my runner buggy and its still holing up great .

I ended up having to dye a few parts that I just didn't have in black (not ordering anything for this build except shocks)

wife woke up this morning and yelled at me ewwww your hands are filthy , had to explain to her that I have washed them 10 times lol , and also why there is a crock pot in the garage full of a dark liquid lol

thanks

she got her shocks and shoes on (hardy har har )

fighting what to do for the battery holder
it had that green Velcro strap setup , but they did it sideways and withour cutting a notch in the chassis most batts wont fit that way
I 3d printed one but who ever designed it made the mounting holes off just enough that it wont work
and none of my original ones are any good

and with the swiss cheese drill job the previous owner did on the chassis im limited on mounting holes lol

and ready to run (need to add a pinion )

great quick n dirty runner rebuild
took a bit to shoehorn the shocks I ordered
bought them amazon same day shipping and they only listed the length
turns out they are some beefy big bores lol
for the battery I just drilled out some new holes and mounted the strap so I can mount the batt front to back , servo keeps it from sliding

Good job with the battery strap :!:

For my runner 10T, I just run the battery front to back, like stock.

yea I was pretty happy when I saw that they had the spray on bed liner in colors
ive used the black before and its great
and this blue is pretty close to the old blue chassis associated used to sell

man cleaning up the bench for the next rebuild
and realize I might need to order some shock rebuild kits lol , and rebuild some of these lol
