I use wd-40 for removing sticky goop off of bodies. It’s safe for plastic and paint. For degreasing gears I use mineral spirits

Those wheels look cool but they are really junk. The gold plastic is super brittle and eventually you will break them if you run them. Keep those wheels for the shelf and get a set of staggered kawadas or vaterra wheels if you plan to run it.

I know what you mean about the brittleness. The wheels that came on it are broken and I only drove this a few times when I was a kid.

Are the Vaterra's 54x30 and 54x26? Are they 2 piece so the center color can be changed?

The Vaterra wheels are one piece. To paint the centers you have to carefully tape off the chrome rim. They do come in a couple of colors

The wheels dont line up with the wheel wells. When I turn the fronts they hit the fender.

Found out I need a new battery for my 1980s Futaba Magnum also...this is getting out of hand :lol:

Looks like they got rid of the L shaped rear mounts and moved the entire assembly back some
