The Buggy is a stock RC10 B3 Factory Team
It has a shorty lipo and 13.5 brushless system with a little turbo/timing added for speed.
I have raced it at a couple big races in the Northwest Championship Tour
At the Hank Perry 240 I had qualified ok, in 6th. With tuning getting better and better, I was looking for a podium. Unfortunately, in the first main I had a timing/scoring issue push me from 4th to 10th in the order. In the 2nd main, I had an amazing setup and speed for the changing surface, but wheel/tire with the great traction also had an iffy pin/wheel interface that gave out in the first lap, so left early.
At the Showdown at the X http://nctracing.liverc.com/results/?p=view_heat_sheet&id=1426852, I had a little better qualifying, ending up starting 4th in the AAA mains.
1st AAA main, I had a great time leading and battling with Dave Gullickson. He got by, but I hung on, looking to take the lead again. I ended up 1 second back in 2nd place. https://youtu.be/9kTVeHQzruQ
2nd main was a battle in the top 4 again, and I ended up 3rd.
3rd AAA main, I grabbed a lead in the first couple laps, but lost it to Jack Leighan who made a good run after I flat landed and got loose off the big double/table leading to the back straight. Gullickson recovered from his off and also got by and went on to take the win and overall AAA win. I finished 3rd, and took 4th overall. https://youtu.be/bJJcpnfOdho
Keep on racing your vintage buggies! They're still great!
