e-GT buggy build

I've been kicking around running an RC10Mid type chassis on carpet since the closest track to me is an indoor carpet setup. I went with Scr8p and had a pretty good time earlier this summer, but I converted a gold pan from clay to carpet and while it was fun and handled well, I wanted to build a dedicated car rather than converting back and forth(I hate building shocks).
I loved the cars that R16 has built and really loved checking out his builds here which gave me a few ideas:

I found a very washed out GT tub for dirt cheap on ebay, and I had over the years collected quite a bunch of GT stuff looking for alternatives to rc10 bulkheads, arm mounts, etc, quite by accident. So I picked up a trans case and started to dig into a build.
first item was to make a motor plate, this is a rough cut from some scrap, I have to get some better pictures of this, plus the spacers to mount in the right position. It's since been cleaned up and made prettier. I also had to shorten the chassis, after some deliberation. I originally just added the extra nose plate hole, then after doing some measurements (and Scr8p reminded me) the car would really be kinda long. with the noseplate I have, i can adjust to long or short now, vs long and limo. studied a bunch of mid motor stuff and decided that a waterfall type brace makes the most sense, so again to the aluminum sheet stock, transferred from some mockup cardboard, bent and mounted with a machined lower bracket: chassis with re-re nose plate, b2/3/t3 steering parts with GT nose screws and waterfall brace: rear bulkhead with custom tower(plan is to run 1.02" rear shocks so a regular tower sise, but mounting pattern of the GT bulkhead), cut from mockup fiberglass, B5 wing mounts. This brings the tower down just a bit compared to an rc10 bulkhead/tower so the 1.02"'s align nicely. an early quick mock-up before I shortened the chassis: stay tuned for more........
