Help with Early 3 speed I.D.

Picked this up at the track last night. No other parts came with it. The guys at the track were saying "bruiser", but I don't think so. I'm not very informed on these old Tamiya 3 speeds and I've never actually had one in my hands until now. I thought it looked more like the Blazing Blazer, but it has the wrong kind of tires from what I understand. The smaller aluminum rims means it's probably not a bruiser, mountaneer, etc. Not sure what other differences there are between all the old 3 speeds. Did they all share the same chassis? Looking for a little help from some Tamiya guys around here. Thanks

It’s a Tamiya 58028 Hilux. That would be the perfect chassis for a restomod runner

Thanks guys. That's what I was afraid of. I was sort of hoping it was more compatible with a bruiser/mountaineer since they've been on the wish list for a while. While I really dig the Blazing Blazer and the 4x4 Toyota, they are crazy hard to get parts for from what I've heard. The trans and axles appear sound on first inspection of this one. I'll probably give this one a good inspection/clean up and pass it on to help fund other projects. I have a feeling that if I took on this project, it would be sitting on my shelf for years while I accumulated enough parts to even get started. I have a few of those projects already in the works and my rc junkyard is getting a little out of control. Maybe it will make someones day to find these parts to help finish their project.

I think I'm just going to sell it. If I start fixing it up, I won't be able to part with it.
For all the trouble, it sounds like it would just be easier to buy a bruiser and probably be money ahead in the end. Thanks for all the good info and advise. I really appreciate it.

I´d say resto mod it.
Loops sells a rear bed, made to look like the original, but deep.
You can use std. Hilux hi-lift tires on the rims.
Ditch the original radiobox, install a modern ESC and radio gear.
