I was looking for a new tx and rx to get an older Kyosho Raider Pro ARR up and going again. I was on a bujjgdet and didnt want to spend a lot of money. Found this one on ebay, located and shipping from the states for 26.15. Could have got it for a couple bucks cheaper if I was willing to wait on overseas shipping.
As for my review, this thing was easy to install and get going. plug and play literally. no pairing the tx to the rx, already done at factory. Is this standard?
The tx has has the necessary adjustments on it, steering trim, throttle trim, steering rate. the throttle trim needed to be adjusted really low as the car seems to want to spin the wheels backwards. Also I didnt notice much difference when adjusting the steering rate. seemed as though the car either steers normal or doesnt want to steer at all. no middle ground. could be a function of the age of the vehicle or the steering servo i use, futaba S148. Also has the standard steering and throttle reverse switches. ** one of the things i like most about this tx, it has a throttle limit switch with 3 positions. basically a slow, medium and fast setting. My son is 4 and wants to drive the car. So this is a big plus for us. I can turn it down to slow and let him go with it.
The rx is small. are all rx this small now? easy to find a place for it inside the car. I did not try the 3rd channel. but the esc and steering servo both plugged in easily, no trimming plugs.
So far so good. no delay, seems very responsive. but admittedly i dont have all that much experience. only my second 2.4 system.

Thanks for posting your review. I'm needing a budget priced system for my re-release Tamiya Monster Beetle.
Today's Rx's are a lot smaller than back in the day (70-80's).

Re: GoolRC TG3 2.4GHz 3CH RX TX review
I agree, really nice review.
Not only are today's Rx's ultra tiny, some of them don't even need an antenna. That said, the Corona Rx's I have actually have two short antennas (or, "antennae" I guess) and both of them together won't fit through a standard antenna straw. But, they're half the price of a comparable Futaba Rx so I reckon it's a trade off.
