OK, back in the late 80's, early 90's I was racing 2wd electric offroad in San Diego. We mostly ran at the Stadium, El Cajon, and Rancho Bernardo. There were 2 guys selling a laydown front shock conversion for the tub car. I honestly can't remember their company name, but they had a logo that looked like a ziggy peeking over a brick wall. Psycho Racing or something off the wall like that.

I think it was a cantilever style, and utilized both short front shocks, mounted transverse in the nose. The stuff was nicely machined aluminum parts, and I believe they were asking $75 for the conversion at the time. Anybody familiar with what I'm talking about???? I think we have a few socal boys on this forum...

Also, I was wondering what motor was Jammin Jay running in his RC10 for associated's first offroad championship win?

Donno about the shock kit, but the little guy peaking over the wall was Wimpy Motors or Gonzo Batteries. They were out of Indiana and the project of Lee and Bob Morrison. They didn't make any front end parts that I'm aware of, but Lee did do a gas conversion kit for Custom Works cars. I think Lee might still be racing 1/8th scale buggies in Indiana.

They must have "altered" the graphics for their own purposes, I guess. But these guys were definetely out of socal. I remember talking with them a number of occasions.

Update on this one...

I got a hold of a 1989 RCCA, and the name of the company was Slam Dunk.

They made the laydown front end, and a bearing supported steering bellcrank.

Anybody got one of these?
