eBay sellers be careful...

Seller, check your listings often. eBay is now modifying your listings without consent and making them “make offer” and removing the “require immediate payment”. This might not seem like much but it gives the buyer the idea that your willing to barter and that is not how my listings work. It won’t be long before they start clicking that “automatically accept” button also

More of the buls**t belief that an algorithm will always know more than you do....regardless of whether or not the algorithm's author knows the significant differences between NIP Edigner RC10 parts and NIP RC10B6 parts.

Ebay's suggested starting prices are insultingly low. They'd probably suggest a starting price of $0.99 for a Hirobo Jealousy.

Those are actually different problems. The first one states that they are adding a best offer to an auction listing, mine are all fixed price. The second one, the fix, is in regard to how the listings don’t have an area to deselect best offer anymore. Mine are being changed after being active for a while. So yeah, my concern is actually a third version of those.

I have been having stupid Make offer issues for a while. Usually when using Sell Similar option. It will auto add in the Make Offer check mark. I have to take special care to make sure it doesn't do it before I finish creating the listing. Very annoying.

Other than having to decline some offers (and ebay being annoying and deciding that for you I guess), whats the concern with this happening?

if you saw "best offer" and my price was $20, would you click buy it now? Or would you offer...say $15? Then, I get the offer, decline it, and counter with what? $20? I am not selling second hand items, they are new, retail, and made to order. So, Say I counter with $19.50...the buyer isnt seeing that as much of a deal and either moves on, or offers me $16. And it goes on and on. IF I was selling used stuff, it would be one thing, but they are not- they are priced at what they sell for- not OBO. So that is the problem- eBay sticking their nose into my sales to "help" me...by screwing me

I haven't listed anything in years... But will soon. So the the "make offer" option mandatory, or you can de-select it when you are creating your auction?

as long as you list it manually, the option will be there and you can un check it..... (The turbo lister or whatever its called will not show the option, they will only let you sell as best offer)

Then, a week later, eBay will check the box and remove your "require immediate payment" because your not selling fast enough for them

So I guess you would have to just set everything up as one week auctions, and then re-list if they don't sell. Would be a major PITA if you have many things listed though, like people running a business.

You just have to go in daily and see what they changed, and manually change it back. It’s just time consuming but you don’t have to start over or anything

Oh I see, so you can change it back manually. I thought they just imposed it on you and you couldn't undo it.
