Has anyone built a "What's old is new" Ultima?
I have some nifty ideas but if a path has already been forged, why not "stand on the shoulders of giants!"

How "WOIN" are we talking?

Kline arms, front and rear hex wheels, perhaps rb6 shocks...
Not completely sure yet, still in the dreaming stage of the build.

Sounds interesting - How about the transmission?
I´d suggest either Triumph or Lethal Weapon with slipper.
The Lethal Weapon would bolt right on, and iirc the Triumph´s going to need some modification due to the rear bulkhead.
I bet You can sweet talk Jeff "GoMachV" into giving You a good price.

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is the one RichieRich built:

Lethal Weapon requires two holes to be drilled, but reuses two holes as well.
Jason is holding out, he has a pretty wicked updated Ultima that he keeps locked up in the basement so nobody will see it.

Of course it requires drilling - would have been strange if I were right about something
But it fits the original bulkhead, right?

Well.....no.....it comes with a brace and you have to drill the bulkhead to fit it.
The pattern on the bottom of the Lethal Weapon is half 6 gear and half Ultima with an additional pair of smaller holes.

I have done many. Click on the links in my gallery to see the threads.
They are getting a bit dated again but the new woin is just renderings for now:

I prefer to keep it original.

(if woin means building something old with newer parts)
