Trx-1 (new guy)
Hi guys! New here and wanted to say hello. Im a racer from the late 80s and 90s from west Michigan and picked up a trx1 and Im currently working on getting it ready to run. It should be fun rolling around with my pop and his Rc10. Ill try to get some pics up soon. The site is fantastic and has been helpful. I did pick up a large selection of new parts for the TRX1 and will be listing on ebay so if youre looking for anything keep your eyes peeled. I love these cars and remember them being smooth on the rutted and rough dirt tracks we ran on back then!

Re: Trx-1 (new guy)
nice to hear you join the site!
I would recommend boiling up the nylon parts as part of your rebuild. especially the rod ends, the old traxxas nylon tends to get brittle.
lots of trx1 fans here, so i'm sure some are glad to hear you will have parts on the ebay. be sure to try and keep your 'for sale' stuff off the board as part of our philosophy is to protect our members from 'bad' deals.

Welcome on the forum.
Can't wait following your restoration ... if you did pick the huge selection parts i saw a few days ago, it will be easy to build several cars

Yes, welcome to the board. Good to see another vintage traxxas enthusiast around.
Hope you're not competitive with your dad cuz he has fresh parts support over your vintage traxxas
.
Get some pix up and goin when you get a chance. Would be good to see some rivalry pix

Re: Trx-1 (new guy)
thanks guys! I hope I didn't offend mentioning the parts and ebay only did so because I know that finding some of the parts can be tricky! I did boil all my parts already and we did that even when they were new back in the day! My car is a bit of old and some new. I was able to convert it to using 12mm hex front and rear using b4.2 caster blocks and steering arms and the b4.2 fron wheels. Out back I have the rear hexes from a losi 22 and using Kyosho rb6 wheels. Its turned out just under current legal width 9.8. glad I found the site and Im also a member on FB of old school rc
