Try these instead of dealing with RedRC's goofy Flash gallery... Sick, just completely sick.

Yeah, those two new cars really bring the 4wd class back to the front of the RC scene, like the good old days maybe... The S500 is simply awesome, and looks much more engineered and designed than the Aero counterpart, we'll see... One thing is sure, our wallets and credit cards won't appreciate it as we will

I talked to Greg today (he's over there right now) he said its suprisingly un-durango like. Aside form the layout the parts are very Serpent

German Gerd Strenge had a company that produced a hyper-exclusive 4wd buggy called the Durango, and it was only given/sold to team drivers. It was loosely based on TC3 gearboxes like the BJ4, but really wild and cutting edge design.

Last year, there was a big to-do over the design of the car being sold to Aero, when it in fact, was not. Aero was using the design as their own, and promoting the fact that it was the former Durango—which Gerd had just sold to Serpent, obviously.

Since then, the car has been re-designed and developed by Serpent with Gerd Strenge to what you see today.

For all intents and purposes, it's still a Durango to me. :D

It's a bad design to have the motor oriented along the long axis that close to the steering. Gyroscopic forces will make the turning inconsistant left to right.

The best 4WD layout I have ever seen:

Image

It's a Dark Impact with a saddle pack CF chassis. Too bad the transmission and suspension mounts aren't built better...
