Awesome!!! I wish there was more Schumacher stuff that made it over here to the states.

Is that the original chassis color? I don't remember the Storm having blue anno, but my memory might be failing me.

Did the Storm have the same components as the Cougar 2 Team, or did it share the components with the Cougar 2 Works version? I remember it coming out right around the same time that the Works car was released.

That's powdercoating (or possibly paint), but not anodizing. :) I like the color scheme, nicely done!

One-of-a-kind Storm for sure!!! Pastel rulz

From memory, the original Storm is equivalent to the original (non-team, non-works) Cougar, but I could be wrong...

Funnily enough I actually got parts of this storm from America - a cougar 2 works (converted to storm) that I bought - borrowed the body shell from it which if you look closely has a HobbyTown number sticker on it :)

I got the chassis bead blasted then just did a cheap matt rattle can on it, to be honest its never worth the hassle with rattle cans as the amount of times I had to strip it back to remove imperfections took hours. Would have been better to get it powder coated

AFAIK the Storm came in the same iterations as the cougar 2, with a sport, race and team versions - but never actually seen each version/box so they may not exist. Apparently there was a works version but never seen one and it might just be my poor memory playing tricks

Thanks dude, Yep rattle can paint. The flash on the camera makes it pop.

Thanks man, yeah pastel rules! I have another Storm to build with a matt Yellow pastel.

This storm is essentially a cougar 2 with the storm towers and a pro diff, slipper. Perhaps this makes it a race version? I did fit it with works rear arms and hubs only later realising that the chassis doesn't allow for the arms to elevate beyond horizontal as the chassis isn't cut out like the works

I think most NIB vintage RC cars will be sought after to some degree. it would be nice to see pictures of the box, contents as there isn't much info on these around the interenet

Sweet Storm! I love the original Storm, the Storm 2000 I'm building just doesn't scream Schuie like an alloy chassis with a belt in the tranny.
Very nice ride!

Thanks 8)

I'm looking forward to giving this a test run, never run a belt drive before. The Storm 2000 is a nice ride - i have a roller in a box somewhere!

Nice example.

Love my Storm - originaly bought it for its red chassis for a Cougar 2 project, but rebuilt it around an old pan and tried it out of curiosity, and it's great fun.

Got a fresh shell to spray up for it at some stage
