JRX2 build help
JRX2 build help
Hey guys so the other day i found my dads old jrx2 he built when he was a kid but never got it running, so i thought id try and buy the parts for it to get it running. I'm sorta new to this so any help would be appreciated! I ran into a problem with the spur gear(i believe is what its called). the guy at the hobby shop said i am missing an extension to it. Not sure what to look up online to find it so anyone know what it is?

Re: JRX2 build help
Don't know what extension he's talking about...
In this diagram from the manual, the area you are talking about is on the far right - but that's for the stock setup. That pinion shaft looks longer than stock though...maybe for a hydra drive? Do you have any other parts to go with this?

Re: JRX2 build help
as you are starting with a bare shaft and need to buy a bunch of parts to get a slipper set up you may be better off converting to the modern double disc setup.
Ebay xxx-sct slipper for a couple sellers who split up new kits selling the entire slipper setup in one lot.
you will likely only need to add or make a small 3/16" spacer to fit over the shaft to keep the inner slipper plate from hitting the motor plate.

Another option is an A&L Powerclutch, which is still available http://vintageteamaandl.com/powerclutch.htm
This is designed to drop in and allows use of modern standard spur gears.
