RC10 B3 Wheels
Putting an old RC10 B3 back together for my kids to run and looking for some wheels. Have read a bunch of forums and am having real trouble locating a place to purchase new rims for this older buggy. Does anyone on here know where I can purchase a set or so of front and rear rims for this car?
I have found the Thunder Tiger part numbers TTRPD8978 Front and TTRPD8982 Rears. I understand these are identical replacements. I have found rear rims but have not found fronts.
Was thinking of trying a set of B4 front rims but hear the offsets are slightly different. Any additional help is appreciated.

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
the re-release worlds wheels will work fine on the B3. the front wheels are B4 wheels, but the width isn't really critical. I don't think there is any rubbing, but you can use the longer front axles to counter the b4 wheel offset.

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
So the re-release RC10 worlds car has 2.2" wheels, I didn't think of that, thank you. If these will work that'd be great!
ASC 6805W - white rear wheels
ASC 6805Y - yellow rear wheels
I don't see a part number for the re-release front wheels. If anyone knows that number it would be helpful. Or will using RC10 B4 front wheels with the RC10 Front Wheel Conversion ASC 6801 be the way to go? The images of the re-release look like there is space between the rim bearing seat area and the hub.. Wonder if the ASC 6801 kit will fit the RC10 B3 front hubs?

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
i believe those axles should fit B3, but I can't confirm for sure.
yes, re-re worlds uses B4 front wheels, which is why there is not a different part number available for that car.

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
Thank you all for the replies. If I try the ASSOCIATED 6801 Front Wheel Conversion RC10 Classic kit for the front hubs on the B3 I will let everyone know if/how it works.

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
You don't need to buy the conversion kit, just buy the wider axles. You can't use the steering knuckle on a b3 anyway.

To be honest, I kinda think the wide t4 axle would be the way to go to get the track width correct with b4 front wheels on a b3. I have no first hand experience with it though.

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
I have these for my B2. They come from the UK, I had no problems with payment or shipping.

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
scr8p - I was wondering if they sold the axles separately. I think the ASC 7222 axle replacement alone will work too. The 6801 conversion kit includes the knuckles and bearings and like you said the existing B3 knuckles should work fine. As far as the bearings, there is no reason they should be any different size from the ones I currently own so no change there. I will post with whatever I decide to do. Thank you for your input; very helpful.

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
Tamlok - Wow. That's and outstanding find and exactly the type information B2/B3 owners need to see. The black spoke wheels look great. My original RC10 Graphite (now a shelf queen) has a set of 3 pc wheels that I dyed black; it looks amazing IMO.Tamlok wrote:I have these for my B2. I already ordered 1 set of B4 front rims and Phonenix BX rears all in white. I haven't ordered the front axles yet, but as scr8p stated above, it is a pretty cheap conversion. I will have to decide which way to go. I'll re-post either way.
Thanks for the info. Pic posted as reference

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
the JC wheels are really nice. They have a profile that fits narrow outline tires, particularly the fronts, so the latest 2.2" tires could be a little balloony on those wheels just FYI.

Re: RC10 B3 Wheels
The Thunder Tiger wheels are junk. You'd be better off going with the 6805 rere worlds wheels. They're esentially a factory b3 wheel...... 2.2 w/ 3/16 axles. And they won't basically shatter on you.

Those wheels look nice. Little Losi! Nothing wrong with that. I didn't see white offered. Only yellow and black.
