RC10B4 factory team... A future collectible?
Hello, I recently bought this Rc10 B4 FT, some parts were missing (one turnbuckle, the body and wing, and miscellaneous parts such as limiters, collars) but It was very very cheap (50$).
Picture from the seller:
i have bought all the missing parts, rebuild it correctly (it was very badly assembled) and now I don't know what to do with it...
My first thought was to run it, as it was very cheap...but it is brand new!! It has never run!!
And also, I have the box, all the papers, and it's the last real RC10 made in the USA.
So run it or keep it ?

Well technically, others currently in this condition would be the ones that are a tad more collectible.. this one would slip a bit on the scaleAsso_man! wrote:... And it will be a tad more collectible.klavy69 wrote:run it...

I hate just putting stuff in the closet and forgetting about it for 8 years. BUT, with the B5M and B6 being way more drivable, I might be inclined to save this B4, and get a B5M if you want a runner. Having myself gone from a B4.2 to a B5M, the difference is amazing.

keep it if you have enough other runners, or buy a cheap beat up B4 as runner.

We have no clay, astro, carpet track here...only good old dirt bumpy tracks. The last club race I made has been won by a guy with a Rc10B4.2 in front of an army of B5M and 22.3.
The winner in vintage class (the same guy with the B4.2) won with his RC10World with the same result as the modified class (14 laps in 5 minutes).

Paint the body box art and shelf it! Seriously. Install period electronics, and shelf it.. I don't have pic's of my brushed B4 runner up but it has a Reedy 19t spec motor, ARMMA 2S ESC, Airtronics 94360 servo, and HPI 2.4 radio, JC DD's. plus a few other parts
The clean one - 75% new I was building to race 17.5 with it but changed my mind. Has a General Lee body, and Team shocks with big bore springs.

will never, ever be a collector... plastic, numbers, 10yrs, no way. Certainly the most significant 2wd design of the millenium though. Thorough workhouse. I had 2 and I loved them (and raced them) to death.
I believe Kurt and Josh did this one, right?
