first off, YES I WAS THE BIG LOSER.

as everone knows about this auction
http://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=40431&hilit=cable+drive well my plan was simple, i thought if i won the chassis/body lot the bidders on that mip car would back off um....well that didnt happen lol. well i was just going to mount one of the bodies on the bare chassis, but than i though theirs nothing REALLY specail about that mip car other than those aluminum front knuckles (which mr. moore himself said that they were made for the team drivers not by him and after that a few sets were sold. he wasnt sure of how many total were made.) so i threw this together what i though it would have looked like, besides the mip cable kit (if anyone wants to sell me one please pm me to complete this car) i found all the other rare parts like the novak items. i think this came out very cool looking. thanks jeff for remaking the mip shock towers

this car was put together with orginal edinger notched piston shocks and yes those rear shock cups are also orginal, but i painted them an off white since they were dyed black at one point

fyi i know who owns the car and have been in contact with him and said iam first inline if he ever desides to part with it

Cool piece of history. I wondered who got that chassis. How are you making those rear wheels work in the front?

The hole probably isn't in the case though. Seems like a later one with a screw together case, the newer style on/off switch and 4 wire. Pretty sure all of the early Novak's were 3 wire. Gonna take some work to pass it off as an early one.

The top and bottom case are both newer. I'm sure when you get it there will not be a hole in the case under the 4. They were probably just using up labels they had.
I've had a couple that were the same way.

I see it...... doesn't mean there's a hole to the right of it.
You'll find out either way in a couple days.
