I got these old motors with some stuff I bought. The Speed Gem 2 is obvious but why is it missing a side of the top with a brush? Any ideas? Then the other one I have no idea about. Has pinion, spur, and turn markings and it has ROAR 91 on the end of it stamped. Any ideas?

Dan is spot on. Salvage what you can but unfortunately they look beat. Might still have some life in them but not much.

Good enough for me. I have enough Lagniappe motors taking up space lol To the bin it goes.

The other I'll stick in the motor box until it finds a home. Thanks for the info gentlemen.

I started to but the collector in me wouldn't allow it. It's in the motor box.

more than likely timing was set too high and melted the endbell pushing the plate off.DON

The brush screw could also have backed out while running causing damage. The can is good for shelf display, and you could probably cut the comm to be usable.
