Hi guys,I always thought the stealth was commercialy available prior to 1990. Was I wrong or was it released before then?

They had the stealth before 90 - cause it was aleady available to drivers at the 89 worlds.

Also the CE gold chassis was available as bushing kit - pretty sure that was before 90 as well?

I am sure temple or scrp8 could happily educate us here too.

Cheers

Found this in another thread.

I believe this was the first time the Stealth was for sale".

The first RC10 that came equipped with the Stealth Transmission was the RC10 Team Car. This car was released in early/mid 1991.

The CE was only ever a bushing kit and although it was released in 1990 it didn't get a stealth until 1992, a year after the Team Cars were on sale. If you wanted bearings in the kit in 1990 it was a 6030 graphite or a leftover 6016/6020.

I was the first order for the retrofit kit (the stand alone tranny that came by itself with the jig to drill your chassis) at my LHS and that was in the winter of 1990.
