Airtronics?

What happened to all the 75 MHz FM Airtronics receivers? It's like there was some big conspiracy to make all of them disappear. I recently purchased a Caliber 3PS in awesome condition, but no receiver. Only one I can find on ebay in $65 from Taiwan. No luck anywhere else.

Airtronics went under, but the maker is Sanwa and those should be compatible

Ahh I see. Still though, I can't even find used ones hardly. Even on the Airtronics website they list all receivers but the one I need, figures. I JUS WANNA DRIVE MAH CAR MAN! (childish mode off)

It was very popular to use aftermarket bitd...you could probably find a Novak or Tekin for less

Yea I've got my feelers out and I'll find them eventually. That or break down and go new school (lame). I also forgot Tekin made receivers.

Would an old Tekin Chrome receiver work? Its a TFM 75mhz 3 channel micro receiver. Looks to be older, maybe mid 90's. I asked the seller about it but they didn't give a definitive answer.

Man I wish there was a conversion to use my old XL-2P with 2.4ghz and the new receivers.

Aren't their plenty of 2.4g hacks that work with almost any crystal radio?

Not sure about that. I know some of the older radios can be retro-fitted. Just not sure how far back. The problem with the Caliber is it has a specific module that fits it, and I don't think any of the new ones will fit it. And to be honest it's in really good shape so I don't think I would really want to mess with it or change anything.
