would it be possible to make a gt chassis outta plexi??

maybe really really thick plexi its possible, i think it would be just too fragile. maybe one of those bulletproof lexans but would still be pretty think. HG Made Lexan shock bodies a while ago that were clear, and they were pretty "strong".. but for a chassis i dont know

I would think heat could become a problem.

you could probably used fiberglass at a heat shield somewhat. but ya extended runs would probably just heat up way too much.

I tried making a JRX2 chassis out of 3/16" clear plexi when i was a kid... it was sort of flimsy and certianly heavy but it DID look cool!

i tried to make a hot-trick style blackfoot/frog chassis out of plexi back in the day. it was heavier than stock and brittle, i think it broke in half. transparent aluminum rules, sombody needs to get on the stick and invent it so we can make some really cool chassis and car parts.

Ya but he sold it to me mounted on a shelfer 4-10 Legend last month :shock:
