I am looking to put tires back on my old Icarus. Does anyone know if the tires from the re-issued tomahawk or beetle fit the original rims? What about tires from the tamiya grasshopper?

Any help would be appreciated.

Those came with very narrow ribbed fronts, right? I think other tires won't fit well on those rims. For the rear, I have no clue . Maybe re-re frog tires?

The AYK Buffalo (and similar variants like the Boxer & Gator) also had very narrow ribbed fronts, but I have no idea about the wheel diameter. Just a suggestion, but more of a crapshoot unless you know the needed wheel bead diameter and width of both.

EDIT: Come to think of it, looking at images of both aforementioned AYK & Kyosho cars, the AYK rears look to be quite close to the Pegasus rears, too. Maybe somebody here has both cars in their collection and can do some measurements?

I think I threw away a fresh pair of fronts some years ago. Let me check...

look for nichimo front ribbed. Available on ebay.

A bit dusty and out of the bags, but i never had the right rims. Never looked for any either as those tires are horrid
