I bought this car on the bay for the tecnacraft rods and it sure is interesting.

What are these dog bone axles?

What are the axles both front and rear that use screw in center? And what are the losi wheels from?

Are these some aftermarket RC10 bell cranks for steering? they are ground down a bit to make level where tie rods meet? If my sorry pic doesn't show it the post mount holes have been redrilled as well just in front of stock holes.

Someone had some mad rototool skills or this chassis was clamped in a machine.

And now this. What differential gears? They are yellowish brown plastic. Center diff gear is stock LRM and note the adjusting screw has a spring on it like a slipper?????

yep, looks like houge steering kit for RC10.

the rear dogbones I think were an option at one point, and also retrofit once the xx trans was available.

can't help on the axles, but if they are not magnetic, maybe they are titanium?

the diff spring was either a home tweak or maybe something aftermarket, but it's not uncommon for a diff to use a wound spring vs the bellville washers losi used.

yeah, looks like someone machined the chassis on a mill or drill press and took their time.

Now that you Houge, yes, I can make out HOU before the ground part.

Better pic of dog bone, diff and front axle?

And for final review of the TLR supreme court, what model shock is this. Looks like 5015 shock cartridges. Kind of a matte black finish nd very smooth for a car that has been sitting for some time.

those axles could also have been drilled and tapped as well.

Good thinking and now that I look closer at rears there are couple threads left on outside. So maybe cut shorter and then drilled and milled. Pretty handy work there.

Didn't MIP offer something like this?

Interesting, wonder what the theory was to get rid of nuts. Answer probably lies in whatever Losi vehicle wheels these are. Maybe easier to get. It's like unearthing ancient archeological RC remains.

Based on chassis and this he must have been a machinist, seems like hard work but I'm a middle management paper pusher so what do I know.

Front axles could be associated b4 trailing axles ASC9612 like these. They could also be the aluminum version asc1585 stripped of the blue annodizing but they also sold them locally as in the bare aluminum same part number. Racers edge also made them along with a few other companies.

Problem is I'm not really a losi guy by heart so I don't know how the Losi's front axles mount.

They don't have the hex part like those B4, they have hole in them and King pin passes through them like a stock JRX.

I'm sure Aconsola or Bearickster will be along shortly to set the record staight. Especially on who made thelse yellow differential gears.

Clearly whoever owned this thing was worried about weighthe and tuning for races right down to the Losi aluminum shoulder screws in the trans case.

Too funny, my own parts warehouse had some answers. They are definitely MIP bones. I had some NIP in package LXT ones. These are about 1/2" shorter consistent with X2/T dimensions. Interestingly the MIP instructions shown below do not actually mention the X2 and only the XT and specifically using RPM 7355 wide arms. They appeared to be working just fine on this stock h arm car. Now to mock up a 5 linker.

Jake had drilled/tapped his RC10 axles that way at one time, wonder if he did some Losi as well :)

The beige diff parts were just a different run (Bearrickster showed me a bunch one time), so just not molded in the same color as the other Losi parts.
