While browsing Car racing and Rally footage, I came accross this nice clip from the DEAD POOL with Clint Eastwood and the famous Corvette RC10 chase.

Love the Electric "Gas" car.
*Note the kid at the beginning Also has an RC10 buggy.*

I think that has been posted before, via youtube, but still fun to watch. Definitely the kids are playing with an RC10.

Frequency conflict!

I wonder how many people back in the day actually understood that part?

LOL definitely always a good watch. The two things i love about that scene are the Futaba radio with the tilt antenna and the switch in between the knobs... I don't remember either of those features at all. Second one is gotta love the nitro car with instant reverse hehe!

what i love about the scene is how everyone on the sidewalk freaks out about the R/C car.

I have that same radio as the bad guy for my hilux.

I was thinking the same thing. I wish I could get someone to spill oranges all over the place when I drive my car down the sidewalk.

At the end, when the RC10 is coming at him at 3mph, why didn't Dirty Harry just pull out his 44 and blow it away?

Because then his car wouldn't have exploded, killing his partner, and making him mad enough to go get the bad guy later.

Anyone else think that Harry's partners should wear long sleeved tshirts with a little Starfleet insignia on it?

love the "nitro" sounds it made, as well as the speed it pulled.

I remember reading about that scene in RCCA when that movie came out. Jay Halsey was the driver and it was a RC-10 goldtub car with the 'Vette body.

Any time I'm driving my car down the street while controlling my RC10 I end up hitting stuff.

Thats the first time i've seen that clip, but it's pretty good considering. Love that site though, watched about 6 good clips before I got back here for a comment. Why didn't anyone call out their frequency... could have eliminated a number of problems. It's a great chase scene though, I counted 2 real cars and 1 RC car jumping... several times. There was an RC ramp in it and at least a few drift and revering whip arounds in it! My favorite is still the 1 mile wheelie.
