VAE's 91 stealth replica & runner V2

It's about time I started another build thread. I've gotten my aluminum chassis kit from Jake and now it's time to run this kit and transfer my original kit to my list of parts collecting for a Brian Kinwald replica build.
I really haven't been actively collecting parts, so I don't have a lot yet, but I've contacted some people and I have a good lead on a bunch of parts. So far I've got the NIX parts dyed with coffee...makes me want one right now

, and I've got a handful of parts I can use for a good start. Looks like I can get to trimming the battery trays and rear bulkhead and glue the edges of the CF parts in the new kit.
I have such a good colour scheme with the fibreglass, white hardware and blue shocks on my runner as it sits, but needing the fibreglass towers for the replica and using the CF towers on the V2 runner, I'm debating on using the 12mm SC shocks instead of the 10T blue shocks. I only have one set of BB shocks, so I'll likely build them in anticipation of using them and see how the look.
Can anyone post any other pics of BK's 91 stealth other than this one???? I need a pic of the wing.
Here's what I've got
I'm in Virginia for a while visiting...here's my new basement pad

Big enough TV?

Hope all is well!
I got nothing on the BK car dude! Going to be a nice build! I bet that wing was clear though, but wtfdik!

Hope I can help with some parts! What do you need that I have?

That's right Rod, wtfdyk?
Reggie is going to help me out with quite a bit. It's just a matter of working a bit to get some coin in the bank before I go visit him. He mentioned something about springs, scr1400 packs, servo horn, and stuff lol, we'll see what I can steal from him

That is basically the only pic I've ever found of that car....... in color or black and white.
I was leaning towards doing a replica of his car as well, but I'm still up in the air about the direction I want to go with it.

I know how ya feel, I've been on the fence for a while now about it myself. I just got done trimming up the battery cups, so it all in now lol.
I PMd BK on facebook a few times about getting photos of some of his past cars, but he has never replied to me.

Just ran into a difference in hole pattern with respect from the early CF chassis and the latest aluminum chassis. The rear arm mount hole aren't lining up. The holes seem to be closer together front to back. My solution is to screw in the front and ream the rear holes since those screws will have nuts on them.
Any thoughts?

Hi Anthony, check this out...
CNCrc Business Section:
"Please be aware, if you purchased one of the original run kits, a small change was made after seeing chassis failure (broken chassis at the rear arm mount due to screws pulling through the Carbon Fiber) from on of our racing members. The rear arm mounts and chassis have relocated screw holes to keep chassis failure down. This change was made to strengthen the rear of the chassis but retain the the factory appearance for those of you wanting to build replicas. If you plan to run this chassis, it is highly recommended that you opt for the race version of the rear arm mounts as it eliminated chassis failure.
Those who purchased a Nix91 from the original run, can still get the ream arms mounts needed for that chassis at Shapeways."
Look at the assembly drawings for part numbers. Old and new.

Oh, yeah that makes sense Niki. Thanks for making me aware of that. I wasn't up to date on my reading and just figured everything was the same. I'm just gonna ream the holes and be done with it.

I thought I'd post an update now that I got the rear bulkhead and battery cups trimmed up. This build will likely take the longest of them all since I have a long list of parts to get yet and some of which may not be readily available.
I also got my CF parts' edges glued up for my runner and the chassis kit installed. I'm thinking of keeping the blue shocks on for now, but might spring

for the SC BB shocks someday.

Rear arm mounts on replica chassis are pointing in wrong direction....

Since nobody caught the other mistake, I'll point it out...I didn't trim the bottom of the rear tower narrow enough. Good thing I built one of these already

Mocking things up, I've came up with a list of parts needed to complete (what I think will complete it) the build
- Copper springs
Homemade battery strap
Novak 410 M1c esc & micro NER-3FM Rx
Airtronics 151 servo
Red Sanyo cells SCR 1400 packs
Stealth Trans, white with black motor mount
Front White dish tq wheels
10t steering hardware
Ti pins
Ball studs
Universals...I have shiny, but need black
Black antenna mount
White shock bushings, associated?
Shock screws
White nylon nuts
Front axles (not sure which where used)
Here is what the runner looks like. I'll get some better pics out in the sunlight once it warms up.
... and because who doesn't like more than one girl in the photo
