Ronbo's RC10T Sport 7011 TTRU (team truck replacement unit)
Well, I guess my first build restore thread will be this 7011 series sport truck to replace the void filled by my original Team truck I stupidly sold in the late '90's. TTRU (Team Truck Replacement Unit) came from fleabay and I may have paid a little too much getting over excited about restoring my cars. If the pictures show, it really is pretty clean. Need to change is bearings in outdrives, black motor mount and stock front body mounts. I still have my original Team Truck manual, some tires, black front and rear arms and a few other small parts Im finding I will post a picture of. Differential is loose, so I need to check it out and see if they put bearings in it like the front tires have. Truck will be a runner, but mostly shelved as will my other RC10s when I start and finish them. I will probably ask a lot of questions as Ive forgotten a lot from when my racing ended in early 1995 after I got into helicopters.
Oh, it seems to be a mid production B chassis with the 3 hole front towers. Not sure why the gold motor plate...

Looks like a great base to start with. I'm keen to see what you do with it.

I 'think' Im going to try something with the tub that I don't believe anyone else has done to make it unique. If it works, I may try in it on the gold tub for my MIP 4wd restore. It will really depend on how well it sticks to the chassis and look good, since I have very little patience....

Here is an update picture with a few parts I still have plus a few I bought. I managed to get a set of new front narrow tires and rims, a set of team shocks, proper front mounts, the new re released team truck body from AE, plus a bunch of parts I still had. I built an extension to my work table to accommodate these projects, freeing up the main work table for other projects (its scale unlimited hydroplane racing season here in the PNW).
I haven't got the material yet for the main tub, but my friend sent my a link to a place instead for me to try.
Hmm I cant seem to upload the picture.

Re: Ronbo's RC10T Sport 7011 TTRU (team truck replacement unit)
Here is my Cliff Lett 91 that started it all for me with the RC10T. I just had to have one when I saw the magazine. Its mostly done, even tho my painting is somewhat to be desired, the MCI decals really make it pop along with the color of chassis. I do have the dogbones and some carriers to finish it, and I just couldn't bring myself yet to drill the holes for the antenna tube. I do have some parts that modern it so I can run it I will post, but Im in the process of a T4.1/2 for running and or racing. I might even submit this for ride of month. The motor is a MR A 14 turn that I will get the proper replacement stickers for, as well as my 3 other Mr series motors. Im really happy with the way it looks in person.

This thread, I will convert it back to tribute status to keep it as pristine as possible. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=569227#p569227
