im rebuilding a gold pan original car. So i figured i would rebuild the shocks. so i took one shock apart. these are Bottom Loading shocks. Unfortunately, i misplaced the Washer that holds everything in. The shock rebuild kit from Associated, 6440, Has these different washers. Would they Work fine and would i be able to use the rebuild kit and not have any leaky shocks. if not, where would i find the washers to replaced the old one?

Traxxas 2362 kit
The design is the exact same, I would get better o-rings, but the other parts are what you need.

This is a shock kit from amain? And it has EXACTLY the washer that holds in the seals?

I would trust JK's advice on the TRX 2362 without hesitation. Glad to see you are rebuilding your RC10.

SO what if i just use the Plastic washers to hold in the seals, but use the rest of the parts from the 6440 rebuild kit. That would be fine, correct?

Yes. Use the traxxas large plastic washer and retaining rings, and the rest from the 6440 kit. That works great

Bringing an old thread back up. I was rebuilding a set of bottom loaders and had to use a Traxxas 2362 kit for some parts. All the original plastics were galled in, so I damaged them while fighting to get them out.
I was able to use the Traxxas hardware but noticed a couple things:
- The ID of the plastics is 3mm, not 1/8". I had to slightly hone them with a 1/8 drill bit.
- The large spacer is thinner than the original, about the same thickness as one in a top load shock. Combining the spacer with one of the thin washers worked out to the same thickness.
Just passing it on.
