hum i thinks we have a problem well the stock rc10t rear axles are too short so are the losi jrxt rear axles. hum now what????

printed metal axles are always an option...I would get everything set where you want it first, then measure and see what you need for length. If you have old bones laying around, cut and sleeve them with brass tubing to get the right length verified. Then, have some printed or made.

The center drive axles off a b44 (connecting the slipper or center diff to the front and rear diffs) are pretty long, and there are several different lengths (front and rear are different, and different lengths for the different b44 versions), maybe one of them would be the right length.
I have some laying around, I can measure them for you.

There's not going to be much of that tower left when you open it up for the belt to run through

T4 axle might be longer ?

sweet thanks pm me the sizes or just add em to this build. i think their might be enough meat left on the tower well i think one step at a time

Between my b44.nothing and my b44.3 there are probably 4 different lengths of center CVAs, I'll try to measure them for you tonight.

got the frt body mounts, belt tensioner, rear bulkhead and changed up the body with this andys body i bought earlier. making some progress will mount the trans soon.

Looking good! Just one small comment, the base of the front tensioner is upside-down

As for the cva's, this is right out of the 44.3 manual


I measured the front center cva on my original b44 and it was about 75.5 mm center to center, 81.7 mm end to end. The b44.2 might have different lengths as the chassis was 8mm longer, but they also went to the vst slipper which is thicker, so that may have made up the difference. You can check the part numbers.
It looks like the b44.3 rear center CVA might be the one for you.

cool thanks for all the info!!! i had to mount the tensioner that way so it would clear the mip rc10t steering. ordered the 92.2mm they should be good they were only $7.70 shipped. also found part# 7129 93mm if those dont fit just right.

Mmm, love the trim around the windows. I have some window mesh stickers that are too small, but would fit perfect with some trim like that. I will likely steal your idea!
