I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on the Scorpion. I'm curious what the tire options are that are available, and who has them. Are they a 1.55 ? I'm looking to throw some paddles on the rears, hopefully the Sand Scorcher paddles. Thoughts?

The Sand Scorcher Paddles and Hornet spikes will fit on the scorpion wheels, you just have to leave out the outer ring and glue them on. I raced with the Super Champ/Hornet spikes on my scorpion back in the 80s.

In the pursuit to make my 870c more of a racer I want to swap the TF8/TR8's out to something more cutting edge for the time period, I have a set of Shumacher mini' spikes that look good, and are period correct for the rear--but have no idea what...

I see that Tamiya Hornet tires are a popular option for use with the factory three piece wheels.

Can they be modified to fit the Jconcepts Hazzard wheels?
