Getting back into it

Hello fellow RC enthusiasts!
After 20+ years, I have decided to get back into the hobby
It started off innocently enough when my dad bought me a Hornet a few years ago as a retro themed Christmas present and somehow I now have a bunch of buggies and a Tamiya M1025 sitting on the rack. Like many on here, I started out in the '80s and my first real RC car was a Wild One. Since getting bitten again a couple of years ago, I have amassed quite a few.
Somewhere in storage I have that Wild One, a Big Wig, RC10, RC10L, and a Kyosho Monster Vette (at least that is all I can remember). I should be reunited with them in a few months
All of them are probably in terrible shape because they were all well used and were backyard/street/neighborhood bashers.
Been reading this forum for quite a while and figured I should probably join to say THANK YOU to all the posters for all the information and ideas! I am now almost confident enough to take the plunge and get a brushless/lipo setup. I remember back in the day when ESCs were new and called MOSFETs; a lot has changed.
