Hi I thinks you have a nice car, I thinks she participated at the world champs in 93 in UK,
drive by an official US MIP driver, the front parts are prototype...

Translation article, I make my best:

The 2wd class is the king class in USA, no 4wd manufacturer in US, only MIP who's start from 2WD car.
Eustace MOORE present me is last 4WD product kit call LEGEND 4x4 kit.
The result is a stable car on jump, but low traction in end corner, normal without diff in front only a slipper and one way.
Front arms, Knuckles are prototype parts and Losi Hydradrive used.
Ron ROSSETTI don't want to run with an other brand 4wd car, like Jack Johnson Kyosho Lazer and Jay Halsey CAT 2000,
built a car with PRO SE and XX parts, with 4x4 MIP transmission parts, rumor controversi, LOSI don't want to built a 4wd car for now...

It has been confirmed! This just in from Eustace himself!!! I asked if he knew Thomas Hightower which is a name I ran across in my parts!

Yes. Tom was a close team guy back then. You have found a chassis with the last prototype parts I made before we stopped production!! To be “doubly” sure; I need to see closer shots of the front spindles and carriers.

Thanks,

Eustace

Yes. These are the one off custom handmade spindles and carries I made. They never became production. Great find.

Take care,

Eustace

Ok, so here we go..................I called Eustace tonight and this is what I was able to find out and what I was not able to find out:

The mystery of the body post is solved. Eustace made them out of Delrin. Not completely sure if MIP ever sold them, but he says they are the MIP Delrin body posts.

I have one of two purpose built cars for the 1993 World Championships in England. Both cars were purple anodized and the second car is in a case in Eustace's office!

The car did not belong to Thomas Hightower until after the Worlds.

This car was only raced at the Worlds in 93'

Eustace believes that this car was driven by B.J. Christensen, but I cannot find that name in the line up either? Anyone out there remember a B.J. that raced for MIP?

This car was completely built in house at MIP. They took the original gold pan, cut it, milled it, and had it anodized purple. Eustace says that they did extensive research and development on this car before the Worlds.

The front suspension was hand made by Eustace for the Worlds and would have become production if they would have finished better at the Worlds. He does not recall where they finished, only that they did not win. He admits that the standard front suspension was not strong enough, so he made these. He also stated that if they had better battery technology back then, the car would have been much more competitive.

This car did not have a belt tensionor like came in the 4-10 kits, but had a nylon belt guide that was double sided taped to the top of the servo. They adjusted the belt tension at the front chassis braces by turning the nylon nut at the front. He says that they were also able to reduce the front kick up this way.

Eustace does not remember the car having the Losi Hydradrive system as the magazine article stated and can be seen in the photos. He only knows that he did not install the Hydradrive and does not know who modified it.

Eustace does not remember what body they ran on the car. The first thing that came to mind was Andy's, so I will have to research to see what Andy's had at that time. Any info on this from you guys is appreciated! It very well could have been an Associated body as well, but he does not know.

The front wheels were MIP for the 4-10 Legend. They were injection molded and should have been the same as what came standard with the 4-10 kits.

He believes that the front tires may have been Yokomo.

The speed control should have been a Novak M1c.

Well, that is about it. He is going to look for some parts for me and let me know if he comes up with anything. Thanks to Eustace Moore for providing as much information as possible for this restoration.

I just got off the phone with Eustace and he says that Scott Montgomery was the driver of the car at the 93' Worlds. Now I did see his name on the list. If anybody knows Scott or how to get in touch with him, I would be very interested in talking to him.

That's one awesome RC10/MIP car. Here is a cool interview done with Eustice. It provides some insights into how he got his start - Very impressive Designer, Mfg Engineer and CEO!
