Is this 10T body a 'name' brand?

Post by Incredible_Serious »

Got this 10T with my recent big lot, and wanted to know if anyone recognises the body.... it seems to be too high a quality to be just another basher body / private paintjob... and with that, here's the pictures!

There are a lot of skilled airbrush artists out there. doesn't look altogether that special to me besides a good airbrush paint job. just look at ultrahives' bodies he has sold/is selling. they are all masks and paint. unless there is a name on it, it would be hard to point to where it came from. looks cool though!

The only difference for me is that, as far as I can say, it's a back-in-the-day 10T body.... which means it's a back-in-the-day paint job. Sure, ultrahive (as an example) is skilled, but was he putting out such product 15 - 20 or more years ago?

Guys have been real pros with airbrushes before there were RC cars. I've seen a lot of great work done even years ago. Someone may spot tell-tale signs of a specific artist but like I said the good guys signed their bodies (i.e. Andys), but also might not have. Also a body can be sprayed at anytime. I had an original Team Truck narrow 10t body in the bag for years and had it shot with a Team Moo paint. It definitely looks classic style, but also hard to pinpoint when it could have been done.

Here is an airbrush body that I almost picked up on ebay just to show classic airbrush skills.

Yeah, there were a lot of talented r/c body painters back in the day. This is one of my faves. I don't remember who Daryl said painted it.

Scr8p the bodies we posted have very similar colors and technique, even same body? I really wanted the palm tree truck but forgot about it and missed out on ebay.
