Its funny that your in Orlando. That car is now in Race Rock (down the street from where they used to have Snowbirds). I have pictures of it somewhere. It still has the electronics in it and everything... the tires are all dry rotted though.

i've wanted to build that insane speed conversion forever, but i've not had much luck at all finding the parts for it. i was lucky enough to find a super oval conversion chassis nip, but nothing else.

Cool, neat stuff. Where on earth would you run these things...besides a full scale race track?

Awesome stuff, I bet a full speed crash would be pretty spectacular and devastating to the car.

The "Holy Grail"?

Honestly, there's about 50 other vintage cars that are ahead of this car in that description. ;)

Still neat, but hardly...

Yep, unfortunately the Encino Velodrom (CA) where they always held Thunderdrome has seen better days but they still run on it every month or so... its just to bumpy for standard pan cars. Theres one in Indiana that they have the Velodrome Nationals at every year thats really nice... cars hit speeds that dwarf anything these guys did back in the 90s.

Some of the old Associated videos show these cars...and yes there is carnage.
