Hello everyone. I am a new member on here. I can no longer race due to nerve damage in my left hand and arm.
I have found a building kits and restoring vintage rollers is Grant therapy for my hand and good mental therapy as well.

I recently purchased a NIB original RC10GT. It will be a box art set up and displayed. I would love to find a new Ron Paris Pipe for it. I'm sure I will run across one in the future.

I need advice from you guys and what servos to put in it. I want them to be period correct for the build. The first one that came to my mind is the FUTBA S3001. I would greatly appreciate advice for the period correct servos.

I would also like to find a good painter to do the body for me (box art scheme). if any of you have a good recommendation that is reliable please let me know.

Thanks Mark, I bought my kit from that member. I'm just trying to get the servos in order. I'd like to get a period correct TX/RX as well.

Hi, The Original RC10GT uses the smaller size servo. I used S5101 only one I found that fits without drilling new holes. These are good S9201 and S9301 but chassis needs drilling.

I definitely do not want to drill holes in the chassis. I looked on eBay for the S5101 but I didn't find any.
My goal is to find new "old school" servos that properly fit.

For the Shelf - a basic Futaba S148 fits, is period correct, inexpensive and easy to find.

S148 Dimension will required drilling if it's for the Original black tub chassis.. I know it's for the shelf but the S148 is a poor choice for steering..Only place I used a S148 is for gas and brake servo on 1/10 scale gas....Take measurements and compare them to the chart before you order..

S148 fits fine in my GT with no extra holes

I bought the RC10GT when they were 1st released way back when in 93, I was not aware they change them afterwards different rev...So the very 1st ones uses the smaller servo....

Welcome Tim. As for the paint, of course I can't speak for anyone so you will need to ask. But here is my recommendation for painter. Not saying there aren't others. But I've always had great dealings with him.

Sorry for late replies. I have been really busy getting ready to move into the new house.

A local racer is great with painting and does some box art themes from time to time. He will be painting the body for me.
