Front bulkhead looks like it was influenced by the kind Traxxas uses?
It's a little uncanny how much that body resembles a modern one without the rest of the FX10/Striker chassis under it.

Re: ID this buggy
Thanks Joel, late nights and long weekends. I had all parts except for the swing shafts, those I had was a tad too short. And those arrived two days before the race.j0pp3 wrote:I can't believe how you managed to get it running in that short time after receiving the last parts. Kudos Lars!
Thanks Jim, and some videos from the event will available soon.Returning_Jim wrote:Really, really, really, cool car!
Are there any videos of these events on YouTube?
Thanks Coelacanth!Coelacanth wrote:Awesome work there, Lars...love the fabrication and logical thought put into the design. I love stuff like this, people building their own thing!
Thanks Mr. ED!Mr. ED wrote:Very nice indeed. that front bulkhead looks splendid, must have been a hard job to get that right. Did you model it in cad first?
I actually contacted TBG last year to ask if the FX10 body would fit an ultima tub. And yes it does he told me. I never realised at that time there was a CRP alternative that's high enough to cover the entire chassis.
Dwayne did the cad work for me. I can’t tell if the CRP body will fit the Ultima for sure, but its dam close. The height is okay, but if it is wide enough just behind the front wheels is the question. I have an Ultima chassis in my storage on the other side of town. I will pick it up next time and get back to you if you want?
Phin you are right, I was influenced by the Traxxas bulkhead.Phin wrote:Front bulkhead looks like it was influenced by the kind Traxxas uses?

Re: ID this buggy
If it isn't too much trouble, yes please let me know if it fits the ultima.
I already have several bodies fitting the ultima pretty well though. That's why I hadn't ordered the FX10 one from TBG yet.
