Yokomo 870c / RC10 shared parts?

I'm about to embark on a restoration of an 870c.

I seem to remember from decades ago, that the 870c shared some parts with the gold tub RC10.
Now that they've re-released the classic RC10, I was wondering if any of the new spare parts for the classic are right for my 870c?

I was thinking some of the smaller parts, ball cups, pivot balls, the alloy bulkhead screws, pivot pins, track rods etc?

Can anyone advise? Part numbers would be great!

Thanks in advance!

About the only things that can be used on both are the ball cups and 8-32 screws. You can use asociated shocks on the 870c and the shock rod ends are close, but not the same as the yokomo rod end links. The yokomo balls are threaded while the associated ones are not.

870c is metric while rc10 is standard. Oh diff balls i beleive are the same, and diff rings might be too, but not on yz10 later models.

The rc10 body posts are a good replacement for 870c battery posts even if they dont look exactly the same.

From the 870/yz10 instructions the .56 and 1.02 associated shocks were the direct length replacement for the yokomo shocks. but the parts list says .71 and 1.32 also as an option.

As already said - despite the obvious collaboration/connection between Associated & Yokomo, about the only transferable parts are the gold coloured 8-32 ali screws that fix into the bulkheads & battery posts from u/side of the chassis & the ball cups. The original 870c shocks were pretty rubbish... so most seemed to end up with the gold shocks from the RC10.

P.S; show us some pic Nigel - would love to see what you've got to start out with.
