Hey, I know it's not vintage enough but I'll try to make it worthy.
Always wanted one of those since I saw a ad for a BK2 in RCCA back in 2006. They are very hard to find here and this one was not bad in the pics so I decided to grab it. I've already done some work like a proper setup and installing this ESC and Rx I had lying around.
What I'm trying to do is a resto using most of it's original parts, which will be easy because this car is in good condition, has a broken rear arm repaired with a metal plate(it's solid and doesn't mess with geometry, looks almost factory), lacks servo mounting posts but used servo tape so there you go, managed to salvage the 17x4 LRP motor but it will be disassembled because the endbell is damaged messing with the brush hoods and the bearings are squeaky even after being lubed. Diff is smooth and universals are like new, no slop in the arms just a little in the uprights which surprised me, I thought it would be like my B4.
Body, wing and gear cover are cracked in some places so they are going to be fixed.
Came with Sanyo SCR17000 packs like in the pics and a SCE1700 pack currently being charged. Tried with a shorty lipo and drove amazingly well! If you search the XXX most of reviews state that it doesn't turn well and I found the complete opposite. Drives as good or better than my B4. No complaints here.
Also came with the set of tires you see and a set of TL rear wheels painted in gray and a set of solid yellow wheels with no name tires but I've seen them somewhere, they have tall round pins and a X in the middle. Must be a XX tire. The yellow wheel uses a 12mm hex and I already have a set of those which came with a Zaboon, might be Kyosho wheels.
Shocks feel great, just need to bleed them. Oh this will be a runner.
So, how can I remove the gray spray paint from the wheels?

Not a bad buggy, a great majority of my previous racing was with it's sibling, the XXX-T MF.
It appears you have a regular version of the buggy, the BK version would have all graphite molded parts and threaded shock bodies.

Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.
