First attempt at flames for the old runner

I've come to the conclution that i need to get my old Team car running in order to get my frustration out from the builds.
Here is the first attempt at flames.

Thanks man.
I've painted the wing in classic dark blue with black shading. Now i just have to get the old runner back together.

That looks great, how did you manage to get the flames so smooth and the fade into each colour?

Wow! I will try to explain. All is done with air brush and faskolor.
Well as you know you start with black (shading)
Dark blue (masking off the lighter areas (in the front))
Then light blue goes on with masking on flames. Unmasking flames.
(Now i use a black marker to outline the flames on the light blue) since the light blue is thin the black marker shines through so does the red/orange which creates shading of the flames.
After that i lay the orange, yellow(angle the air brush nozzle towards the front and increasing the distance to get fading)
and last the white.. done... sort of :wink:
